Happy New Year to us all. We are here to take charge and not to waste opportunities, we are brave not cowardly, energetic not weak, optimistic not ready for excuses and focused, not confused! We have witnessed many new years…. But we must make this a new year indeed.

What makes the year new?

New goals, Vision, Mindset, Resolutions, etc. make the year a new year. The new year is a chapter of our lives carefully drafted to absorb our aspirations, our dreams, and our lifegoals. We owe ourselves the responsibility of making the year new. Hence, the need for a thoughtfully composed goals and resolutions.

In this article, we’re going to talk about why it’s important to write your goals down and how you can do so in a way that will help you accomplish them. We also have some tips for making sure that you stay focused on the things that matter most.

Write down your goals

A goal is a result you want to achieve in the future, so it's important to know what your result will be. When writing down your goals, you should make sure that they are measurable and specific. For example, if you have decided to lose weight, then write down exactly how much weight you would like to lose and when it is due. You should also write down “why” you are going to achieve this goal and “how” it will help you achieve other goals as well. This helps keep you motivated throughout the year and gives you something to look forward to at the end of each month.

To-Do- Name the months the goal(s). Create a personal calendar. Instead of January, have “write a book”, instead of February, “enroll for a professional course”, March “Get a visa”. Etc.

Break each goal into smaller goals.

For many people, setting New Year's resolutions is one of the most important things they do in the new year. However, it's very common for people to set themselves up for failure by not taking the time to break their goals into smaller ones. When you break down your goal into smaller ones, it makes it easier to achieve.

The key is that once you've broken down your big goal into smaller ones, you need to focus on each one individually until you reach your goal. This will help you stay focused and keep track of all of your progress towards reaching your goal.

To-Do- Break monthly goals into weeks and days.

Eliminate distractions

The more time you spend working on your goals, the better you will get at them. To grow and become successful, you need to be able to focus on a single goal. If you can't focus on one thing at a time, then it's going to be very difficult for you to achieve your goals. Therefore, eliminating distractions is so important. Distractions are time wasters!

To-Do- Create a goal timetable. Focus on each goal as scheduled.

Stay accountable

Accountability is primarily to “self” and then to others. Staying accountable is one of the keys to achieving your goals and resolutions. So, start by being honest with yourself about where you are now. Where are you in terms of your finances? Your health? Your relationships? Your career? Set yourself up for success by creating a system that works for you and then stick with it.

To-Do- Create a score sheet. Evaluate commitment to set goals.

Don’t let yourself get overwhelmed

Think of your goals as little steps that take you closer to your destination. There’s no need to rush, but don’t let yourself get overwhelmed by the work involved. Each step is important and worth doing. When you have a goal, it can be easy to get overwhelmed by the work involved. It’s important to remember that each step is valuable and important. The key to achieving your goals is to take small steps every day. You’re not going to climb Mount Everest in one day, so don’t expect yourself to do that. The first step is just as important as the last step. If you want something badly enough, it will happen with time and effort.

To-Do- Reward yourself for each progress made.

Reward yourself

Reward yourself for your goals and keep track of them. Reward yourself for reaching a goal or starting a resolution. It can be as simple as a treat after you've reached a goal or completed a resolution. It could be something like going out to eat with friends or taking an extra-long walk on the weekend. Whatever it is, reward yourself!

To-Do- Take a break. Engage in a favourite hobby

Bonus tip: Have an accountability partner

If you have an accountability partner, then they can hold you accountable for your goals and resolutions. They can be a friend, family member, co-worker or even a stranger. Having someone to hold you accountable is essential for success in life. If you are not held accountable for your goals and resolutions, then there is no chance of achieving them. Therefore, it's important to create an accountability partner who will hold you accountable for your goals and resolutions

Takeaway: These steps will help you keep your goals and resolutions on track.

Having goals and resolutions is a great way to improve your life. However, it's important to keep them on track for them to be effective. If you want to be successful at achieving your goals and resolutions, then take these steps into consideration! By making these changes, you can greatly improve your life. You will feel better about yourself and become more confident in your ability to achieve anything you want. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them below! I’d love to hear from you.
