Sir. (Dr.) Ogunlowo re-elected President of HuCaPAN - Nigeria’s foremost body of Private Employment Agencies

Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Outsourcing Limited, Sir (Dr.) Olufemi Ogunlowo, has been re-elected President of the Human Capital Providers Association of Nigeria (HuCaPAN).

HuCaPAN, is the umbrella association of Private Employment Agencies (PEAs) with over 300 member-companies.

Sir. (Dr.) Ogunlowo emerged re-elected at the association’s 12th Annual General Meeting in Lagos on Thursday 12 October 2023.

Speaking on his re-election, Sir. (Dr.) Ogunlowo thanked the association's members for their support, highlighting the addition of over 53 new companies to HuCaPAN during the past year.

He emphasized his administration's commitment to collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure equitable recruitment and decent working conditions for all Nigerians.

HuCaPAN plays a vital role in regulating and aligning companies with global standards and best practices.

"The future of employment in Nigeria is promising because our core value in HuCaPAN is to provide decent work for every Nigerian,” the Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Outsourcing Limited said.

“We will work closely with our clients to ensure that employment terms align with the principles of fair employment," he added.

Recall that on Thursday, 23 September 2021, Sir (Dr.) Olufemi Ogunlowo emerged the 4th President of the Human Capital Provider Association of Nigeria (HuCaPAN), at its 10th Annual General Meeting.

Two years later, he was re-elected at the 12th Annual General Meeting of HuCaPAN, which also addressed the importance of prioritizing decent employment and fair compensation for all Nigerians.

Other officials elected are Nzeribe Okegbue, PhD., as the 1st Vice President; Otunba Tunji Balogun as the 2nd Vice President; and Mr. Tunde Johnson, Esq, as the 3rd Vice President.

Also elected, were Perita Kimeng, who takes on the role of Treasurer, and Mr. Ofe Philip Orighomisan as Publicity Secretary, while Jide Afolabi continues as the Executive Secretary.

After his re-election, Sir (Dr.) Olufemi Ogunlowo, further explained that "HuCaPAN now operates as a trade union, uniting Private Employment Agencies (PEAs).”

“Since there is no specific legislation for outsourcing in Nigeria, we follow international conventions that have been ratified and adopted within the country. These global standards are the foundation of our operations." He added.

Dr. Ogunlowo brings to the role a wealth of experience, holding a B.SC in Civil Engineering, a Master's Degree in Water and Waste Engineering, and a PhD.

He has a diverse business background spanning over 30 years, including management consulting, banking, and engineering. His leadership at HuCaPAN is expected to further advance the association's mission of ensuring equitable and decent employment for Nigerians.
