Strategic Outsourcing Limited launches a new Employee Self Service platform
Following the discontinuation of business by TalentBase, the Software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider that provided SOL with employee self-service module, SOL has now launched a proprietary Employee Self Service platform to enable employees to query HR related data and perform some HR transactions over the system.
With the introduction of the robust proprietary software, employees can easily process leave request, access electronic payslip, initiate appraisal, and edit profile information. Before now, leave application, and staff attendance were separate modules on the IOMS. Both modules are now together on ESS with additional employee activities which makes it an all-encompassing program.
The GMD, Dr Olufemi Ogunlowo, while unveiling the module noted that whereas the ESS platform's launch is a significant step in the Company's operational excellence plan; it is the first step in a long journey of broader digital transformation. He commended the Head of Strategy and Digital Transformation efforts, Ugochukwu Ikpe and his team for delivering the application on time and within budget. He encouraged all professional and associate staff of the Company to take advantage of the technology for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
He expressed that the ESS portal would facilitate ease of serving employees nationwide and enable a quicker route to return to normal because the unpredictable and long-lasting period that will follow the Covid-19 pandemic will feature fundamental changes to economic activity, fast-changing cultural norms, societal values, and behaviours. He noted that navigating the COVID-19 pandemic and its aftermath will be one of the biggest business challenges of our time committed to make the health and safety of employee a top priority as the Company considers how to bring operations back to some semblance of normal.
He pledged that the management team would continue to pursue opportunities to outmanoeuvre uncertainty by building the competencies to be more digital, data-driven, and in the cloud; to have more variable cost structures, agile operations, and automation; and to create more robust capabilities to deliver electronically.
